Delete your account

In the app

Open the menu on My Links, tap Account, then tap Delete account. The app offers to download a copy of your data first, then asks you to confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

By email

If you can't use the app, email [email protected] from the address you sign in with, asking us to delete your account. We'll confirm once it's done, within 30 days.

What is deleted

• your profile: name, email address and profile picture;
• your sign-in to LinkShare;
• your saved links, with their notes, tags and images, and the comments and votes other people left on them;
• the groups you own, and your membership in other people's groups;
• who you follow and who follows you, and your invite codes;
• the comments and votes you left on other people's links;
• your devices' notification registrations.

What is kept, and for how long

Nothing else is kept in the service itself, except reports: any report you made, or that was made about your content, is kept as a moderation record. Deleted data can remain in our encrypted database backups for up to 35 days, and in technical logs for up to 14 days, after which it's gone.

Your Google or Apple account

Deleting your LinkShare account doesn't affect your Google or Apple account. We delete the name, email address and profile picture we received from it, and nothing connects the two any more. If you sign in again later, you start with a new, empty LinkShare account.

LinkShare may still be listed among the connected apps in your Google or Apple account settings. You can remove it there.
